When sharing memories of her beloved daughter Shelly, among the things BJ mentions
is the love Shelly had for the Bicuspid Aortic Foundation. Shelly's appreciation
for the Foundation's work was based on observing first hand her Mother's
experience with Bicuspid Aortic Valve Disease.
Shelly had watched
BJ search and search for the answers and help she needed. She also saw what
a difference it made when her Mother found that help, at the same time finding
others committed to helping those with Bicuspid Aortic Disease.
Shelly
cared deeply for others, including those with aortic disease. She
looked forward to a day when she would continue the Foundation's mission that
meant so much to her Mother.
But it was not to be. Shelly's life ended
unexpectedly on November 18th, 2005. Her death was not related to aortic disease.
It is beyond comprehension that she is gone.
To all of us, Shelly
will always be a special part of the Bicuspid Aortic Foundation.
The Foundation wishes to acknowledge and thank all those who have sent
contributions in Shelly's memory :
