Lodi, California Proclamation

September 2006 TAAD Awareness Month

On September 6th the City of Lodi issued a TAAD Awareness Proclamation.  The Bicuspid Aortic Foundation is very grateful to Mayor Susan Hitchcock and the Lodi City Council for their assistance in increasing public awareness of TAAD through this proclamation.
Carrie Mettler, a Lodi resident and Bicuspid Aortic Foundation Board member, has a thoracic aortic aneurysm resulting from bicuspid aortic valve disease. Carrie previously has had brain surgery for a cerebral aneurysm. Through Carrie's efforts to bring greater awareness of BAVD and TAAD, the lives of our families, our friends, and our neighbors may be saved.
